Uglies being launched in Brazil

Remember that post (I believe a little below this one) with the Portuguese Uglies cover (If you don’t, just glance down a little ways :) )? Scott Westerfeld posted on his blog today that Uglies is actually being released in Brazil this week!! It’s exciting that our beloved Uglies is still making its rounds around the world!!!

Here’s a snapshot of the website for it. You can see the cover is incorperated into it. Visit it here if you want. Not many of you will probably understand it, but hey, it’s pretty to look at! Haha :D

Fan Models on the Spanish Cover of Specials

Scott Westerfeld just updated his blog with this cover, and the model is an Uglies fan who won a contest!

RH Mondadori, my publisher in Spain, had a very cool idea. After publishing Uglies and Pretties using the American covers, they decided to go in a new direction. They held a contest, the first prize of which was to be the cover model for Especiales. The guy who won is a total fan, which is great, and he also has a definite Special look. The designer held off on the flash tattoos on the front cover, but he has one on his cheek on the back cover. (Which I don’t have a jpg of yet.)
