Though Tally’s pinball relationships with David and Zane are always at the forefront of the narrative, one must remember that the story is told from Tally’s point of view. She may not recognize Shay’s feelings—a fact that more than once sends Shay into a vengeful rage—and what’s more, she may be too biased to recognize the truth of her own. While David and Zane vanish into the wilderness for months or books at a time, Shay is always there, always watching, always waiting, and always, always thinking about Tally.

This made me think of Shay in a new light (because I never really liked her before). What do YOU think???

It took a while. Not as long as I would have guessed, though. Started off as a study in perspective and angle. I just really, really wanted to pull off somebody looking up. Gradually it warped into an Uglies-inspired fanart, haha.

The cast list on the Uglies movie IMDB page has turned out to be a hoax. There is no word yet on casting.

UPDATE!
Kaya Scodelario Web, a fansite for the actress, claims to have spoken to her reps and they deny that she has any affiliation with Uglies. That clears a little up. Thank you Ella for the tip

IMDB has updated that the roles for Tally, Shay, and David have been cast with India Eisley, Kaya Scodelario, and Lucas Till respectively.

This, however, is COMPLETELY a rumor. There have been no official confirmations, and no other news surrounding this. Most people are aware that IMDB can be publicly updated by its members, so the information could have been added by anyone. Also, it’s pretty hard to cast the main roles for a movie when a director or screenwriter hasn’t been hired. But who knows? Maybe they have been hired and we just don’t know about it, but that still isn’t likely. But PLEASE just treat this as rumor. I will let everyone know when official confirmation shows up. Let’s hope more news will pop up because of this *fingers crossed*
